• Creekside Off-Road Ranch: This ranch may not be as large as Sam Houston’s National Forest or Bolivar Peninsula, but it makes up for its smaller size with steep, hardcore terrain that makes for a thrilling experience! The ranch is around 350 acres of sand and mud, and also features a campground for those who want to stay and soak up the scenery a little longer.
• Northwest OHV Park: Off-roaders of all experience levels will find something to love at this Bridgeport attraction, which features a 25-mile off-road trail and 300 acres of scenic beauty. Just be sure to grab a day pass beforehand, as spots fill up quickly! If you’re not in the mood to go off-road, you can take any type of vehicle through some parts of the park as well.
• Lost Highway 87: For those looking to add a bit of spooky flair to their off-roading, consider Lost Highway 87, a beautiful 20-mile stretch of beach that was once home to a thriving community of homes and businesses before they were destroyed by coastal storms. This trail terminates at Bolivar Peninsula, so you can add another 25 miles to your ride if you want!
